With long, expensive development times, the organisation needed to ensure efficiencies across multiple programmes. Syngenta had mature practice in benefit management from Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) but needed the tooling and advisory services to deliver this at scale.
Benefits maps were created collectively so that the expected value was clear from the start. The Wovex platform provided benefits performance and trend dashboards that helped identify necessary actions. Training and expert support was also provided to increase internal capability. The work led to programme scope changes and, in some instances, the decision was made to stop initiatives. Other programmes were identified as having high impacts on required outcomes and were accelerated.
Syngenta achieved effectiveness and efficiency gains that contributed to their corporate objectives and made substantial savings in projected programme costs. Realigning resources also achieved earlier deliveries of objectives. Syngenta now have a trusted approach to benefits management that is aligned with their ongoing strategic plans.
